Final Faith & Life Forum of the season: Sunday, May 18
‘Town Meeting’ on Worship Services
The final Faith and Life Forum until September will be held Sunday, May 18, immediately following the conclusion of the 9:15 service.
The format of this Forum will be an open discussion “town meeting” on a topic of central importance to our life at St. Paul’s – our worship services. Rick Brown and Susan Gardner are heading a task force looking into various aspects of our worship services. The task force’s creation came of out of the Vision Committee 2007’s work last fall, and was one of the recommendations approved by the Vestry in December.
One of the primary focal points of the task force’s work is the three-service schedule St. Paul’s follows. As parishioners are aware, the 9:15 service is normally very well attended, but attendance at the 8:00 and 11:15 services is much lower. The task force is considering a wide range of ideas to improve attendance at the 8:00 and 11:15 services while continuing to meet the worship needs of all parishioners.
The task force is seeking input from as many members of St. Paul’s as possible, and the Forum on May 18 is a key opportunity to hear from a broad cross-section of the parish. Your ideas are important, so plan on attending the May 18 Forum to make them heard.
